Hello,

I want to recomend you to review Attachments Processor for Outlook from MAPILab.

This plugin can remove attached files and replace them by hyper links the same way.

But it allso can archive attached files for incoming and outgoing messages. It can create self-extracting archives and password-protected archives.

That's another way to reduce PST-file to speed-up Outlook.

Nick, thank you for your comment and your recommendation! How would you say Attachments Processor measures up to EZDetach? Thanks! Misty

Hi Misty,

I started using this technique a few months ago and ever since I started using it, I don't receive the "exchange administrator" email saying - "Your Inbox has exceeded your storage max"... What I normally do is that I save the attachment in "clients" directory in my system and then just file away the email in it's respective outlook folder.

Excellent Tip!

Great comment, Ray! I like to do the same thing using EZDetach which is another great Outlook plugin from TechHit. Filing attachments out in your Windows folders as opposed to storing them in Outlook is a great way to keep the size of your Outlook mailbox down and stable. Good for you and thanks for your comment! Misty
